We did few events in east london called "strike & grapple" from 1999 to 2000/2001. We used to call them "light pancrase rules "with no knees nor punches to the head but kicks ok. Few very famous names of today did they firsts bouts there.

Posts: 2900 (01/03/08 16:56:06) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	The first cage fight in the uk was a joint venture between myself, andy and PADDYMOONY.. 23/02/2002 was @ portsmouth guildhall that was the first cage fight in the Uk... however.. there were shootfighting events in the uk from 1989... in a ring.. lets please not forget the forerunners and people we owe respect to... mainly.. lee hasdell.. andy jardine.. ian freeman.. and Leigh Remedios (even if he is a midget x) without them.. we wouldnt have half what we have in this country when it comes to MMA...
