Question on Muay Thai- which Ive started recently and been impressed by.
Now the straight leg low roundhouse kick seems to be the bread and butter technique for the legs- understandably so its powerful.
The thing thats bugging me is you connect with the shins- and also apply the counter leg blocks are absorbed straight on the shin- but this is Sfuking painful - I dont think there is a danger of damage but it still really really hurts-
In the classes everyone wears shin guards so its all fine - but I feel that unprotected in a real combat or street situation I wouldnt be mad about unleashing one of these techniques bone to bone cos of the pain.
What do you do here- just put up with it or Can I connect with the ball of the foot instead or would this break the foot?
